Meccanoid proudly presents the third installment of Midnight Fashion Show - a unique runway parade giving Independent Melbourne designers a chance to showcase in front of hundreds of savvy sartorialists!

With the continuing goal of supporting and exposing a new generation of designers, the upcoming parade will feature both established labels and the best of emerging talent.

Celebrated local designers Side Show Design, Die Pretty, Limedrop, OK Carnivale and Maru, will present a runway show in a unique party environment, with music and films starting at 10pm, runway show at Midnight, followed by Meccanoid discothèque electronique; music by Melbournian and International performers as well as burlesque & circus artists. The dress code and theme is La Belle Epoch so start planning your get-up for an experience you will never forget!

Young Melbourne based designers Elizabeth and Merilyn, are childhood friends that share a joy for design and creation.
Taking inspiration from the showgirls with a carnival theme, Side Show Design presents a collection full of glamour and extravagance that enchants.
Using rich and colourful designs in their clothing and lingerie, garments feature hand beaded appliqués that include pearls and crystals and are often made from silks, satin and rich velvets.
With a running 1930’s, 1940’s and 1950’s approach to their designs, Side Show Design take pride in the difference the label brings to the Australian fashion industry. Each garment evokes a sense of intrigue. Each garment is hand crafted and is sure to elicit interest from those passing by.
